Board Game Accessibility. Persistantly controversial. Unyielding.

Meeple Like Us is producing board game reviews and game accessibility analyses aimed at mapping out the game accessibility landscape.

If you're wondering where you might want to get started with accessible board games, we have some suggestions that won't break the bank. Or check out our recommender.

A moment of your time, if you don’t mind!

This work has been a passion project for many years, and for those that may want to get easy access to a set of solutions for the many, many problems documented in this site – there’s a book coming which is a one-stop-shop for all the guidance you may need on making accessible board games! Two books are coming in fact, but the other is about ethics and professional issues in computing. Links to pre-order both are on the right hand sidebar.

Also, I am recruiting for a PhD student to come work with me on doing the important foundational work on what it means for a game to be great – this is something that will cover video games and roleplaying games, but also board games. If you have found this work interesting over the years and you fancy coming to work with me in Gothenburg, there has never been a better time. The link to that advert is also on the side!

I now return you to your regularly scheduled index of content.

Board Game Reviews

Here are our board game reviews, along with their associated teardowns. Our board game reviews are discursive, comprehensive, and ideally conformant with our principles regarding the New Board Game Journalism. We post new board game reviews on a Wednesday, with the corresponding accessibility teardown posted on the following Saturday.

You might also be interested in our full master-list if you want to see all the games and all the grades.
